Lumineers are a minimally invasive way to transform your smile into the beautiful and natural smile you’ve always wanted. In most cases you won’t need to be numb and you will only need minimal if any drilling done to your teeth. The lumineers philosophy is to preserve natural tooth structure whenever possible.

What are they made of?
Lumineers are made of ultra-strong porcelain that is contact lens-thin and translucent. The porcelain is the strongest on the market, which is why the lumineers can be made so thin without an increase risk of breakage.

Lumineers vs. Veneers
The difference between the traditional veneers and lumineers is the way the teeth are prepared. With traditional veneers the preparations can involve extensive removal of your natural tooth structure requiring temporary crowns, with the need to be numb. Thus, there would be longer appointments. This treatment can lead to tooth sensitivity and discomfort. The procedure is also non-reversible.
With lumineers, in most cases, there is no need to be numb or to have much natural tooth structure removed. There is no need for temporary crowns which will greatly shorten the appointment time. Most of the time with lumineers you will only need two appointments from start to finish to transform your smile! Since there is no need to remove much of your natural tooth structure you will have no sensitivity or discomfort afterwards!
Maintenance
Lumineers are maintained just like your natural teeth are. They will not stain or discolor as long as you stay regular with your dental visits and do your best with your homecare.
